Welcome to Zayaan Charity Centre

Established in May 2019 to help raise funds for kids born with limb deformities in South Africa.

Zayaan Charity Centre is on a drive to raise funds to make walking possible for those in need of this surgeries with Zayaan being the first beneficiary.

Our future goals include assisting more families raise funds to make walking, running, playing possible for their own little angels who was given the same diagnosis. We are also planning to open an after-school reading Centre/ Youth center in a drive to keep our children in the community safe and off the streets.

Please help us with your generosity and donations to drive this as a reality.

The Zayaan Charity Centre (NPO NR 227-394), inspired by our very own Zayaan Oosterndorp, was established in May 2019 to help raise funds for kids born with limb deformities in South Africa. Struggling with a miscarriage and Ectopic pregnancy, our Princess Zayaan was born with Langer’s Mesomalic Dysplasia with Bilateral Fibular Hemimelia in her legs. This means that she was not born with all the bones needed and the ones she does have are shortened. Some of the X-Rays has been included on this page.

Zayaan is full of energy & life, she enjoys dancing and singing with an absolute love for YouTube, searching for Moana and the Minions. Zayaan is like every other princess and enjoys the company of younger of kids especially caring for them and singing along to baby shark. She loves it when you play with her wigly toes.

After much deliberation, the top 10 Pediatric Orthopedic surgeons in SA recommends SIMS (amputation) with prosthetics as the only solution for her and many others like her. Many families in South Africa are faced with a similar situation. We have found Dr Paley from The Paley Institute who advised that he can definitely build up her ankles, straighten her foot and lengthen her shortened bones in her legs with no need for amputation!

Sadly, this can only be done in the USA or Poland and costs +-R2.8 Million excluding travel, accommodation and living expenses in a foreign country for 6 weeks.
